Here is a denim coaster I made by using two hem strips from a pair of jeans. You cut the hems real close and glue it together.

What a terrific idea! I might have to make some of these seeing as I'm about to chop up a bunch of pairs of jeans Grin Did you use hot glue or super glue for it?

Saw this on your blog the other day and loved it! And now I'm seeing it here, I guess that means I need to get crafting some! I love that there is a way now to use that last little piece that is always leftover when using recycled denim.

Super clever! I really like the look of this. Might have to add it to my list of Chistmas gifts to make this year.

I used some fabric glue I had. It seems to be holding so far. Here is more info with a few more pictures of my recycled denim coaster project. http://www.myrecycledbags.com/2010/05/16/recycled-denim-coaster/

Fantastic idea! I never know what to do with my remaining scraps of fabric and feel bad just getting rid of them.

Ooh that is a really good idea! Might have to knock some up with some fabric scraps I have lying around...
