I have been out of blogging land for way too long, everyone has such wonderful projects to look at!   Wink

I stitched these up using patterns from the Hoop Love pool on Flicker.  My neighbors are way cool and She had recently re-done her kitchen, after seeing it and her theme I had to stitch these up for her.  Admittedly I only did 4 of the 6 patterns, We'll see about doing the last 2 later for her but I had to move onto another project for my dear mother.  She was eying these every time I brought them around as I was working on them and I could tell she was wondering "Where are my kitchen towels?"  So I'm stitching her up a set of 7 Day of the week towels with flowers on them...

Ok, now onto the stitching.  I kept is simple, Stem stitch overall, Lazy Daisy for the flowers and leaves, back stitch for his cane, french knots for the flower centers and just a little satin stitch for the hearts popping out of their heads.

Mr Rooster looks so snappy with his hat and cane.

I like how his tail feathers turned out, I tried to not over complicate them considering the simplicity of the overall patterns.

I just love how Mrs.Hen looks just a little snooty... her little beak all up in the air and her fluffy bottom looking all.. ruffly.

I worked in just a teeny bit of satin stitch on the hearts.

And now holding... hands, wings, feathers?

Her fluffy bum cracks me up.

I have not yet given them to my neighbor, we are going to BBQ all together and I thought I would give them to her then.  I hope she loves them and I hope you all like them too.

These are awesome!  You have some lucky neighbors!
