Behold the Hatmione (unfortunately it's pronounced hat-my-oh-ni, not hat-my-own. Ah well, one can pretend.) Although I hate the Harry Potter movies, I did like the hat that Hermione wears in the winter. I was able to find the pattern online, as apparently I was not the only one who took a liking to it. The pattern was pretty easy to follow, but it was still interesting. It took me about four days, on and off, to knit it, and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

For the record, I am aware that I knitted a hat even though summer is just about here. But I got inspired to knit it, so I did. Unfortunately, I don't look good in it, therefore I don't have any pictures of it on. Use your imagination.

hehe. I love your signature too!

Yep, that's the link. You do have to buy the pattern, which made me $5 poorer. Usually I wouldn't pay that much for a single pattern, but I was feeling spontaneous.

aaahhhh spontaneous online pattern shopping...  maybe i'll blame my broke-ness on that.  or pearl arts.  or paper source.  I digress.  that pattern looks totally worth $5.  I am the craftster spending enabler!

I love this hat, but I'm a redhead and so the color would be awful on me.  Do you think the pattern would still look good in another color?  Between this and the Team Zissou hat, I'm starting to think about dying my hair black just so I can wear red hats.

I think it would look great in a dark green or blue, and I'm sure that would look good with your hair! Go for it!

Ooh, I like the dark green idea.  Even though it would make me a Slytherin.  Wink
