gingerquilts--that tool kit book is totally awesome!  The little details make it so special...and so many handy items to make knitting/crocheting fun and organized!!  I love the colors you picked for both and the design is very interesting!
So the needles go in on a slant?

Prepare to be ROCKED!!! I knew Alwaysinmyroom was cooking up some crazy cool but I had no idea how insanely perfect it is for me *swoon!* Stretch out your wisting fingers, I'm going to go picture crazy - I can't leave out any detail of what she did for me 

When Linda and I were initially partnered she asked what I would love to have and I said a messenger bag for school. I have one right now but it is really boring and my stuff constantly falls out of it all the time - not to mention the bottle pocket holders were worthless because nothing would fit! (a shared complaint haha). Linda is some sort of wizard because she put this together for me!!!! I can't even tell you how detailed and finely crafted it is!!! First off I LOVE the colors! I told her I love bright bold colors and wanted something funky that was unique. She totally nailed it  She used Kaffe Fassett fabrics which are so beautiful - each piece looks like a piece of art.



She mentioned in her note that she took inspiration from my altered puzzles and made each piece individualized with embroidery, beading, felt applique, etc and if you take notice the edges of each are darkened with fabric paint just like I do on my altered art! It's awesome!!!! 




Here is the back panel that opens up in a big side pocket and has my avatar sitting on top!  The close-up shows the HILARIOUS machine embroidered text that runs underneath!! I need one of those hahaha.




Here's the inside which is HUGE! Not only am I going to have a totally awesome unique bag but it can hold EVERYTHING I could possibly want to bring to school with me. Linda mentioned that it would definitely work as a carry-on bag too which is great because I only do carry-on when traveling now since the crummy airlines charge now for checked bags. And there's a zipper on top so my stuff won't fall out anymore  The last picture here says it all!





Linda I can not thank you enough for making this for me. I can feel it when I'm holding the bag how much time and effort and love and thoughtfulness went into the making and I will cherish this for years to come. Thank you!!!!
