Yes, I live for "vinyl" pun intended. Have about 800 or so old records. Having an alphabetizing party on Monday, feel free to drop in.

We are creating craftopia. I want to be able to create the awesomeness in this swap. I have found a great place for my ooak gourd container, and will post pics, when craftopia is mostly organized.

Discworld is so awesome. Can you felt with felt, or do you have to do the felted wool? I don't have a hot water on my washer. That is the most awesome to me ( only till I go back and use print to see all the awesome stuff).

i think (and dharma correct me if i am way off base.)  the disc and elephants and great a'tuin are all made of felt.  like the kind you pick up at the craft store.  and i believe the discworld 'map' is needled-felted to the disc. and just so it is clear.
it is big. i had some confusion on facebook with folks thinking it was a pin cushion... it is big like 21 inches long by 12 high by 12 wide..

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Yup, it's all wool felt. and the continents are needle felted onto the disc.

Whoa... a pincushion!? I don't think I could have made it so tiny! I started with the elephants, and then the turtle had to be big enough to hold them.

here is what i sent attienichole -- she has received, so i am going to post the pictures i have!!  i also included some yarn & crochet hooks since i sent late....

i did a set of stamps -- a tree (which she likes) and a yarn ball since she is a crocheter...i then used the stamps to create a "logo" for her etsy & craft fair business...i stamped the logo on a square notepad & then created some thank you notes, too...

this was my first stamp carving, and i was THRILLED with it!!

I agree with dharma - these are really cool! I so want to learn how to carve stamps and your awesome projects are further inspiration. I especially love the yarn balls. It's extra awesome that attienichole can use these for her logo. Neat!

Also - I want a tree that grows skeins of yarn in my backyard!! Smiley
