I'm posting my first attempt at hand spun. I got a drop spindle, and 1/4 an ounce of yarn. The camera kept washing the colors out, they are actually much brighter.

This is my first hand spun yarn. My brother helped me dye this one, the green and teal came out really well.

This is my second attempt. It's much better, the tension was much easier. Though I did get the tension too tight once, it snapped and both loose ends twisted up in my hair. I couldn't unravel them so there's some bright red hair in it lol. Ah well.

These are two of them together.

I think I might make a hat with these and some store bought yarn as there isn't really enough to do much with. But I think I'm hooked on my drop spindle. I can't wait to get more fibers. I want to try a different food coloring as well. I used the gel kind and I think I can get better colors with a powder form.

They are gorgeous! I love the dye job, too! Especially on the green and teal one ^_^ They will look every so lovely when made into another something or other ^_~

Thank you! Cheesy I'm hoping to make myself a slouchy hat with my handspun and some store bought.
