This isn't for my own wedding, but I kinda wish it was. I'm so inspired by all the day of the dead wedding stuff out there, I just had to make a Day of the Dead Unity candle!!



It's a machine embroidered sugar skull design stitched on organza. I used spray adhesive to adhere it to the candle, and covered the edges with ribbon. It was so simple! Plus it smells like apple crisp...mmmm...

Here's a bit closer shot of the embroidery. I think the stitches actually give it a really cool almost 3D effect...



My friend Danielle (she had a halloween wedding a few years back) quickly stole this and won't give it back...

Oh my goodness!  This made my heart jump.  I am having a Dia de Los Muertos theme wedding (we both have huge mexican families!), and I am trying to buy handmade items rather than cheap plastic store bought items!  Would you ever make another if I were to pay for it?  How much would you ask for?  Please email me, bj6donners@yahoo.com
