I've been spending a lot of time at thrift stores lately and have started buying up all the vintage sheets I could find to make a quilt.

I decided that since the florals are a little larger, I just did some nice basic squares to show off the deisgns. The cost of ALL the fabric of this quilt totaled $8, which in quilting world is pretty amazing.

The back, it's just one sheet with a pretty design:

Here are a few close up shots of the blocks:

Old sheets are a polyester/cotton blend (newer sheets are mostly cotton) which gives them a really nice touch of coolness so this is a great quilt for summer!

Thanks for looking!

I always make sure I check out the sheets whenever I'm in a thrift store.  Most of mine end up as curtains, but I LOVE this!

I also really like the way you quilted it.  It adds a nice touch of simplicity and geometry to all those bright flowers.

This Rocks!

Thank you!

I've done a lot of stippling on quilts in the past, wanted to mix it up a little bit!

I really love this quilt, especially that you used old sheets to make it! I can just imagine this would be perfect on a bed in the summer. I also really love how you quilted it.

This is beautiful.  It reminds me of a handmade quilt that I used on a bed I slept in when visiting my grandmother.  I suppose the sheets it was made with would now be considered vintage, too!

This is beautiful! I have started collecting vintage sheets myself for this purpose. Although with the rate I'm finding them, I'll be finished 2020.

Oh how beautiful! I love the nostalgia of it. It is all my childhood, happy memories in a pretty and yet usable piece.
