I really love the simplicity of them and the cute flowers. 
You could add to them, or you could keep them as they are.

Cute idea. My only concern is that the fabric flowers will fray (like in the picture.) I also like the idea of a pearly bead/button in the middle.

cyndiq, I used this website http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/tsunami_kanzashi_flower_2 but I haven't used starch on them. They hold together really well and keep their shape. The more you do the quicker you get - I just cut out lots of squares at one time then got going. And I would make one when I had 5 minutes to spare, waiting for the bathroom or the hot water to heat!
I will definitely post a picture when I have one, but the wedding isn't until August!

sunshinekitty, they haven't actually frayed. There's just a thread hanging off each one from where I sewed it together ; I left it there in case I decide to sew on a button or bead.

I might experiment with using different sticks, to see if any are better, so they don't look so dead. I might try some long grass or something in between the flowers... hmmm

You could do any shape leaves I think. I also like the idea of using buttons in the middle of the flowers!

I think they need to have centers to help separate them for each other. Other than that...Awesome!

Here are my thoughts:
- I agree with adding a center
- I also agree with adding a little somethin'-somethin'. I don't know if it should be
greenery or some different fabrics/flower types. But it needs more "fluff", I think!

i agree that you should put a button or bead in the middles.  you could even make some with two layers (like a smaller flower inside a bigger one).  this website has directions for pointy petals if you want more variety: http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/2009/11/kanzashi-bloom-tutorial-fun-handmade.html  as for the greenery question, maybe you could make some "branches" out of thick wire and red glass beads?  i love the fabric you used, and i think it would look nice to add more red to it.

In all honesty I like them better with just one colour of flowers, but it really is up to you, and if you like them with the brighter flowers added, go for it.
