I agree, I have been tempted to try my hand at it, but can't think of anything other than pendants to do, which doesn't really appeal to me, but that paperweight could be done in so many creative & personal ways!

Ohhh fun fun stuff! The meteorite pendant is such a clever idea and so cool looking. I love how the rose box is distressed and the flowers are such a nice touch. I've been wanting to try resin forever too! The paperweight is very inspiring.

Thanks for the lovely comments guys!!

Here is a pic of the paperweight nearly finished..

To be honest.. I dont really love working with resin.. its expensive, temperamental, time consuming, smelly and fiddly. But it does lend itself to a whole load of different crafts and can easily be personalised for a lot of things. From what I understand you also have a lot better resins over there than here, but either way.. ventilate ventilate ventilate!! and be warned.. you will go through a stage where you will want to embed everything in resin, so hide the pets and kids!! lol

I just received the most amazing package from my partner, goldfishpollywog. She went crazy! She crafted something for all 6 of the holidays I chose, which were:
1. National Ice Tea Month/ Iced Tea Day
2. Take Your Dog To Work Day
3. Doughnut Day
4. Adopt A Shelter Cat Month
5. Raggedy Anne & Andy Day
6. Nature Photography Day

Here are the pictures of the awesomeness:

Take Your Dog to Work Day- A Beagle journal (which my DH already stole, lol) and a cute keychain, and some fun appliques:

Iced Tea Day- A crocheted glass of iced tea with a slice of lemon. It's adorable!!!

Adopt a Shelter Cat Month- A sweet keychain that looks just like my kitty, Pickle, whom I adopted in February from the animal shelter (plus some cat nip and doggie treats for my babies) ALSO- an amazing Calvin & Hobbes keychain!! I ADORE Calvin & Hobbes! She sure knows how to stalk her swap partners. LOL!:

Doughnut Day- A little plush doughnut, which my dog, Bonzai, fell in love with:

Raggedy Anne & Andy Day and Nature Photography Day- I literally screamed when I saw the keychain. It's beautiful!!! The tote bag is adorable. I love tote bags.

Toys for the critters:

Last, but not least, some action shots of the furries with their new treasures:

Bonzai with her new squeaky drumstick. It can go with her squeaky steak that she has in her toybox:

Bonzai and Pickle fighting over the jingly ball. Pickle won. He loves anything that makes noise:

Still fighting over the ball:

Pickle liked the squeaky drumstick. Here he is with the jingly ball and the drumstick:

Bonzai's favorite toy was the doughnut:

She also loved the People Cracker snacks.

Thank you so much, goldfishpollywog, for such an amazing package, and for spoiling my "children!"  Cheesy

goodness, that's a really great package!  She covered like everything!!!!  Also, I'm not a huge raggety anne/andy fan but I really love both the tote and the key chain!  The key chain came out REALLY pretty!
