Gspinn: What a nice package you received!

I believe I can help you with your 'camera woes'. This might be helpful to others too!

A:  I think you are just too close or too zoomed in. Try backing off of your item to take the picture, and then crop it on the computer.

B:  Your camera might have different options for the focal length. EG:



On the back of there, there is a flower. You use that setting for taking pictures of things closer up. Each brand of camera will have a different way of getting that setting, but most have it. Check your manual for more info.

Package 2 Received

I received an awesome package 2 today from Feast Your Eyes!


Pic of everything to show off the wonderful rainbow of yarn and the kitty taking inventory, lol. She made me oven mitts for my kitchen which was a wishlist item I put in my questionnaire, 2 necklaces and a pair of kitty ear barrettes from my wist and a lovely chainmaille necklace with 3 stars to match my tatoos.

I LOVE EVERYTHING SO MUCH!! I am going to a concert tomorrow and am looking forward to wearing my drum necklace since I play drums and I will be sitting in line for 12 hours before the show so I can be one of the first 20 in line to get in to watch sound check & hopefully a meet & greet so I will have plenty of time to work on one of the items for package 3!

Package ONE

Yay!  I was starting to get worried that Ewulotta's box had gone missing in the mail.  But it arrived today!  
She sent a lovely package of goodies!!!

There were very sweet pictures of her with her friends and her boyfriend!

not pictured: she included gummy bears (something edible) as they are one of her favorites!  (mine too by the way and i'm eating them now! num.  num.)  she also included a CD of a radio play she recorded for her boyfriend (something sentimental).  its "the three investigators and the secret of terror castle".  its their favorite german radio play series and she was kind enough to do it english.  i would have still listened but i wouldn't have had a clue what she was saying had it been in german.    i'm going to try to listen to it this weekend after the baby has gone to bed.

kitchen staple - cupcake liners!
summer essential - fav picnic recipes (i hate cooking but these look like something i could manage plus they sound yummy!  and if nothing else, i'll just make phil make them...he's the cook of the family!)
favorite holiday - german christmas cookie cutters to make cinnamon stars (i still need to get that recipe to you for the cookies phil made for package one...i'll make sure its in package 3 but i'd love the recipe for the cinnamon stars...they sound like my kind of cookie!)
favorite store - bath products (yay!  i love bath products and i actually just ran out of bath gel so itll come in handy, it smells great!)
something drinkable - chai tea!  (i LOVE LOVE tea!!!)


something she collects - she collects cassette tapes of the radio play series, the three investigators (i'm really glad you didn't pitch this, i think it looks great and the shirt fits me so well!)  oh and ahem...i wasn't trying to pose, but had a 2 year old tugging at me so i was trying to smile and not grimace into the camera...i look like i'm trying to be sultry.  heh.


something related to yarn - a dream catcher!  (i love this and i think i will put it over aria's bed when we finally move her over into her own room.  she has night terrors so there's something comforting about putting a dream catcher by her bed...its also in my favorite color combo!)


non craft hobby - she included the book, high fidelity!  (i love reading too and reread my favorite books over and over and over!  i'm excited to read this as i haven't read it before!)
something related to reading - book cover and bookmark (i ride the bus so the book cover will come in handy!  i didn't realize there was a bookmark until i read the note but its a really cute bookmark and it will come in handy as i don't have any! )
something she keeps in her purse - tea wallet (i love it!  so funny because i made her one as well!  i'm horrid about making myself stuff though so this is good!  i probably would have never gotten around to making one for me!)


something that smells good - a heat pack filled with wheat and lavender (LOVE this, the cover is removable so it can be washed, it smells so good!!)
something that keeps her organized - spiral paper clips (i've seen these before and think these are pretty cool, plus this gives me ideas for package 3!)


something that reflects her personal style - felted bead bracelet (LOVE this!  it fits perfectly and i love the colors!)

That cassette shirt is pretty darned awesome!  Those bird earrings are beautiful, I love how the birds stand out from the stone background bead - what kind of stone is that anyways?
