Gspinn- First off, that is one awesome package. And second, you are totally down playing your broomstick lace abilities! All of my attempts....yeah, they kind of look like my cat got the yarn tried to eat it and left it in a messy pile.

Thanks for the compliments on the pointe shoes pin cushion! I have tons of once used shoes that are just sitting in my closet.  Roll Eyes

Love the broomstick lace, G! I don't think i've seen it on fingerless gloves.
Awesome packages so far, everyone!

Probably because you're exhausted. How can be leaving messages on here at midnight and again at 6:30 am on a weekend and not be tired? When do you sleep?! lol

And on to fun stuff... the wonderfulness that is package 1 from Belladune!

Group shot of everything.

Proof that Belladune is psychic. I really needed a new ice cream scoop, and viola! here it is. It's a memory of her time working as a manager at Booster Juice. She also included a fancy whisk that's safe for Teflon pans, a cute storage container that she won at a shower, tea from a trip she and her hubby took to Vancouver- one of them is the blooming flower kind, which is brilliant. I always wanted reusable produce bags for the grocery store, and here they are. Also a packet of Malteasers, which has been stolen already.  My favourite thing in this photo has to be the University of Goodsoil mug. (I assume that the University is also at Larry's Place? lol. She sent me a guide to the area, which included a listing of all the things you can do at Larry's Place, covering but not limited to: laundromat, pool hall, arcade, marriage and fishing license office, ice cream and candy store, internet cafe. Oh, and they have live bait too. Take that, Walmart! )

Spinning stuff! Had to be here. She couldn't make up a package about herself without it appearing at least once. She dyed the roving herself. The chart covers different yarn weights and a guide to wraps per inch. The tool is a WIP helper to check consistency of yarn.

Sentimental sorts of stuff. A sheep she made with her son when he was only 4. It has clips on the back to hold papers and such. So cute! A favour from her wedding- it's coffee from their favourite roastery in Saskatoon.  The bookmarks have quotes from Belladune's favourite series of books, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. One of them says  "If my last words are not 'I love you," ye'll ken it was because I didna have time," and the other "...well, if women's work was never done, why trouble about how much of it wasn't being accomplished at any given moment?"

It's a lot of stuff, and all of it is both awesome and interesting. I never wanted to visit Saskatchewan before, but I do now!

As you might recall I got a fantastic package from WhiteSheep on Tuesday BUT I've been swamped so this is the first time I've had to post photos.  I love everything that Nessie sent.  (Unfortunately a crochet hook seems to have fallen out of the box BUT that's OK as I have several already.)

Nessie is from the Isle of Man thus these items.  By the way, that fudge is omnomnomnomtheBEST.

Next I got an adorable pad of paper with Diddl, a cute little German mouse that Nessie collects AND a load of gorgeous smelling Lush products.  I LOVE LUSH.  Love, love, love so this was a brilliant surprise.

Finally I got beautiful yarn that Nessie spun herself (x2!--including a piece of her very first yarn!) and a really cool hairbow.  (She actually spun/dyed the yarn AND made the bow!)

This was a great first package and it definitely gave me lots of ideas for package 2--AND a pre-package 2 package since it'll be Nessie's birthday soon.  Smiley
