This weekend, I went on a crafting spree. I made cold process soap cupcakes: I used a tutorial on the Soap Queen's blog, with my own recipe. Once I'd poured the soap (at a medium-thick trace) into the muffin mold, I colored the rest of it, and continued to blend and stir until it REALLY thickened up. Then I used a ziplock bag and pastry tip to pipe the "frosting". I added cosmetic glitter and some bath salt that I dyed with sweet almond oil and ultramarine violet to look like sprinkles. They've been sitting in the molds for three days to make sure that the bottoms were completely hardened and wouldn't mush.

My favorite cupcake. I think the top is adorable!

Here's some wasabi scented cold process beer bars that are finally ready to use! I sprinkled bath salt on the top, and used Sapporo beer for the liquid. Let me tell you, when the lye hit the beer, it was the nastiest smell ever. I almost died like three times making this soap. I am very happy to say that today it just smells like wasabi. Smiley Colored with chrome green oxide.

Heart shaped bath fizz with sprinkles and sparkle gold mica. These bad boys are six ounces. They kind of terrify me.

Bubble bath slices. They smell like evergreen and I luff them so much. I kind of suck at getting the swirl in them, they like to crumble while I roll them up. I'm thinking the next time I make them, I'm going to use my onigiri presses to see if I can get some awesome shapes.

Your "frosting" looks amazing!  Most excellent photographing too!  I ditto the intrigue on the wasabi/beer soap.

OMG y'all... The Wasabi FO is from Brambleberry, and easily one of my favorite fragrances ever. It's grassy and fresh and refreshing. When you smell it, it's impossible NOT to think about wasabi. It's very unisex. I really love it in candles and the boyfriend is addicted to it in soap. I ordered a 4oz bottle of it, but I'm going to have to get a bigger bottle next time. Every single time I go to make something and ask the boy for opinions on what it should smell like, he pipes up with "WASABI!" Ha ha.

I originally used one of the recipes linked to here on Craftster for the bubble slices, but have been tweaking it to my liking, changing and experimenting every time I use it. It hasn't changed too terribly much, but I use a blend of oils - sweet almond, shea butter and grapeseed - and make a large amount at a time. They don't last long at all. I end up giving away half of what I make to girls that I work with, and then the boyfriend and I take a lot of bubble baths. Cheesy

Bellazeus - go for it! Cheesy I can't believe I put off learning how to make soaps for so long; it's just too fun, and we never worry about running out of soap here! Tongue
