I was lucky enough to be travelling around Morocco earlier this month, and of course had to drag a journal around with me Grin

I bought the journal from a fairtrade Oxfam shop and with a few alterations to the cover, 2 days spent watercolouring and sticking bits and pieces inside to start me off, it was ready for action!

I took the journal and a pencil case of essential supplies around everywhere I went so that I could write, scribble or stick when I had the opportunity. I also took a rook of photos so I left a few odd places for those to go, though I didn't want it to become a photo album, that's going to be separate. I'm sure I'll be adding to it lots more, but for now it's done. There are about 46 spreads in total, so I won't be putting them all here. There are many more and most of the photos on my flickr here Cheesy

The cover. I bought the tassel from a market stall in Marrakesh.

Postcards, leaflets, and big ol' stickers (we had to wear...)

Delicious mint tea

Busy market

The best trim from the amazing sewing stall

Best door ever! (I took a lot of photos of doors and windows Roll Eyes )

Fabric flower picked up on the street (as you do...) and the rose petals were arranged just like that on my bed

It's hard to convey just how wonderful the holiday actually was, but thanks for looking! Smiley

What a lovely journal!  Gah.  I adore it.  I agree with SAHMama - this does rock!  The colors are fabulous, too - totally reminiscent of the colors there!

Awesome job!

I've been waiting to see this! It's great (as always!). Is that an actual flattened spoon on the door page?

Wow, that's absolutely beautiful! I love that I can look at the recent projects and immediately recognize your incredible style.  I'm so jealous of your skills, and I wish I had a fraction of your talent. You're amazing!

I don't want to wist the journal - I want to wist a brain as creative as yours Phizzy!!  This is amazing and I love every inch of it.  It will be such a treat to look back at this later, after the trip isn't so fresh in your mind, and revisit all those memories through your journal pages.  Love it!
