I'm fairly certain this belongs here....if not, please let me know so I can move it.
The other day my brother brought my bike in off the porch and gave it a complete tune up in an effort to encourage me to ride my bike to work. ...he's always so awesome that way.
I agree...it would be best to ride my bike to work, but I always have so much stuff.
So I went and bought a basket.
...which was wire. It's easily detachable so I can bring it up to the office with me or into the grocery store if I need. (I work above a Trader Joe's...literally....right upstairs.)
I thought the wire would never do. I carry so much stuff, I really needed something that could hold little things as well as my big things.
I decided on basket liners.
...and I couldn't just make one.
A girl's gotta have options!!
So I made two.
One for when I'm feeling all girly and pretty and one for when I'm feeling all 80's and reminiscing for my teenage years.
So here is what I came up with.
First one is the girly one. Alexander Henry Regent Skull pink print with a grey duckcloth. The lining snaps onto the basket. One of the snaps looks a little wonky...and in all honesty, it is a little skewed...I don't know if I'll redo that one.
This second one is my "pining for the 80's" one. Timeless Treasures Music Collection fabric (I received a 1/2 yard in a recent swap and loved the fabric so much I went out and bought 2 more yards...thanks so much Lindsay!!), with a black duckcloth.
This lining ties onto the basket. I really don't have a preference as far as the "installation" of the lining onto the basket goes. Both offer a unique look.
...and that's my tale of my bicycyle basket liners.
...not overly impressive...I know.
But I'm proud of them!
