I am going to be starting a new project soon, and I need lots more buttons than what I have already collected. Plus, I don't want to entirely wipe out the stock that I have accumulated! I have done some perusing at some wholesale sites online, but I figured you guys would really know where it's at! Besides the obvious eBay, (because I'm doing some looking there too), are there any really great websites out there that can sell me a good amount of buttons for a cheap price? Thanks for your help everyone!

If you happen to live in Phoenix or Tucson, AZ you can go to SAS Fabric and buy buttons in bulk there.

I'll try to think of places online where you can get buttons, but you're not looking for the higher end/garment quality kind right? Just larger quantities of random buttons for your project?

I've bought very reasonably priced buttons on Etsy and have seen bulk quantities there.

I got a great metal button assortment from Vogue Fabrics.  They have an assortment of plastic ones too, but I haven't gotten that one so I don't know what' s in it..

Cleaner Supply has lots of cheap buttons too..  but their assortments are really huge 'cause they're made for businesses.

Thanks everyone! Great suggestions. And you are correct, Ming. I'm not looking for fancy lots. Just random plastic buttons... Happy crafting!

I don't know if this will be worthwhile for you to look at, but I've been through a serious buttony project madness recently (jewellery, decorating old sweaters and purses, etc.) and I found the best place to get cheap buttons was at various thrift stores run by hospice, churches, etc.  I live in New Zealand, but would imagine that you have similar places in the US too???  The ones here cut the buttons off all the old clothes that are donated to them but are not fit to be on-sold (although the clothes themselves are sent for cloth recycling I understand).  Just my 2c worth to the discussion which may be of some interest to you anyway.

Ah, good suggestions.  I too will be starting a project and I'm in need of a bulk amount of buttons that won't break the bank Smiley

I will double the thrift store suggestion.  One thrift around here sells them by the cupful, a couple others sell them by the bagful- our Goodwill will get buttons in but since they also sell Joann's cast-offs they tend to price them by the card.

OOOH!  The oriental trading company is a great resource!!!  Make sure you search for a coupon code too.
