I found a miniature singer at the fleamarket! And because I'm a master haggler, I got it for the equivalent of 15 USD.



It works and everything! So pretty!

I am so excited...I just bought this off of a Lady on Craigslist for $65...I'll pick it up tomorrow!
I want to know anything you can tell me about this machine...because I've always used Singers and Singer knockoffs (my current workhorse)

Ooooooo! Elna are excellent! and it looks like the cams are there too! good buy! They were not marketed as much in the US (German? I think) so find a real sewing machine repair shop for your maintainance. have fun with it!

I was at a yard sale today... they had a Kenmore 158.17550, same model as the one I gave to someone on freecycle a few months ago. (She was DESPERATE for a machine.)
They also had an old Montgomery Ward straight-stitcher in a cabinet. Gave me all including the cabinet for $20. I will have to take pics in a bit.

A lot of these sewing machines are vintage, but mine is pretty new. It's the Brother Innov-is 40...



I got her yesterday. I dont really sew on the floor, it's jus where the pic was taken. I'm secretly naming her Kimora

it kinda sucks actually. the parents got it for me for x-mas, unfortunately they didn't research and it is aweful, my mom wants to take it back but i doubt we can, maybe its got some defects, i'll have to look into the warranty..

falconz that is the one I wanted due to the fact that it is pink and says project runway on it. But I love my Brother machine, being they are electronic

But I have been eyeing a new sewing/embroidery mix machine, after I get a job I am saving up to buy it.

Its such good fun seeing what everyone is sewing on. 
I have a two old machines given to me and I would really like to know more about them. I have tried all the usual places including vintage sites but had no luck. Is there any one here who knows about them?

ive never heard anything good about europro. i actually won one a few years ago and didnt even take it out of the box, just gave it away. i hope you can find your perfect machine
