I have the same machine you do, Mishymishy! I'm quite a beginner so I wanted something that would make my sewing as easy as possible. I'm completely in love with it.  Grin

That's what I have too! Stupid thing is the most temperamental piece of machinery I have ever worked with. Its worse than my Buick (and that's saying something). All of my mom's clothes and my clothes were made on one of our machines. I don't remember which one was my grandma's. We have one that works and one that doesn't. THEN we have three treadle machines. One for my mom and my sister and I. My grandpa buys them and refinishes them. Some day I'll sew on it. My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy. Its a beautiful machine. There's something about that noise that it makes that I just love!

This is my "new" machine.  Picked it up on craigslist because I needed something a little heavier duty for sewing nylon dog collars.  Just had it tuned up and cleaned after buying it almost 2 months ago, and used it for the first time tonight.  It scares me!   Tongue  It is way fast, and I have to practice getting it under control.  I had been calling her "Belinda", but now I think she needs a much scarier name:

I think my regular sewing machine is even scared!

I'm loving all the vintage machines!

Here is my little worker. I have been very pleased with it.

I have a fairly simple Janome, but I'll cheat a bit and post a cell phone picture of a gorgeous vintage mint-green Husqvarna Rotary I saw at a flea market recently. Fortunately (or un-) I didn't have any money. But isn't it pretty?

Edited because an actual picture is good.

How much was it at the flea market?  I picked mine up for 30 or 35 euro (I can't remember).  I looooove it.

That's so cool, mub!

It was 300 SEK, which is about 32 euro or 46 dollars - but I don't know how much I would have been able to haggle...

I was crazy excited when I saw it!  I'd been looking for a new machine since I left my old Husqvarna in the US when I moved... so my husband asked the woman how much she wanted, and she said "30 euro."  The machine is pristine, and I should've tried to haggle her down a little because when I said "SOLD!" she looked surprised I hadn't tried to offer her less *L*
