GRANNY-A-DAY FOR JUNE!

Both Granny-A-Day crochetalongs for April and May have been quite successful!
May:

April:

Who wants to granny in JUNE? So if you missed the APRIL & MAY one or you have a big project to continue join us in JUNE! We will begin JUNE 1st!

This is basically a motivation crochetalong. If you want to work on a granny square, motif, one huge granny square blanket, this is a great way to set aside time everyday to get some serious work completed in an attainable amount of time.

People have come up with some really neat uses for grannys too! Different bags and blankets, shopping sack holder, slippers, scarves etc. I have been making 7" grannys and after a month I have 30 squares that make a perfect size throw blanket.

If you are intrested and would like to join we would love to see your work! Post pics of progress and then the finished product! It would be great if everyone could post progress weekly (but not required). At the end of the month we can piece together our work and show off our afghans and Inga bags and whatever else you can come up with to make with nifty grannies! (Must post a completed project in this thread.)

I want to join!!!  I need some serious motivation... with work, summer classes that started today, and more work, I have not been taking enough "me time".  I think this will help me with that.

I'm in! I start Physics I summer classes at the University on June 1, but I foresee myself getting frustrated with doing problems all day, so I'm gonna try to make at least one square a day!

I've wanted to make a blanket for a long long time. This is the perfect motivation for me! May's been ridiculously crazy but I think I can get in on this one! I'm really looking forward to it. I just gotta figure out the right color scheme.

since a few people liked the hexagons i'm working on for the may crochetalong, i did some looking around and found the pattern for them free on-line:
http://www.countryliving.com/crafts/projects/blue-ribbon-afghans-kaleidoscope

if you'd like yours to look exactly like the picture, i'm 99.9% positive that on the last round of the hexagons pictured, the last row around was done in SC. it still looks nice as DC, but just wanted to mention that.
