miss barbara was lightning fast and sent me a great package!

all packed up.....


1. something local: homies - she said these were a fad in her area (and since we live only about 1 hour apart, i had them here too!  my friend got me a breakdancing lil guy, but these will complete the collection.  lol



2. something golden: barrettes w/ crocheted flowers to attach



she sent oodles of these.  here are just a few


3. something long: functional long art  - this showcases some very pretty paper and also doubles as a needle holder - clever!


4. something lumpy: beaded bookmarks



5. something no bigger than 2" : a yarnie pin and a cute panda pencil topper





6. something related to the letter L : learn to crochet kit - this came complete with instructions (specifically for lefties!), a lovely wooden crochet hook, and samples of different stitches





7. sender's choice: miss barbara wanted to honor our shared love of cupcakes so she sent a cupcake cross stitch kit and stationary

The crochet kit is fab; I love the addition of sample stitches (so clever!).

I received a fantastic package from SarahJ2001 yesterday!

First up- local and lumpy. Local is these magnets she found at a local craft fair.  Lumpy is some of her handspun.  It's beautiful!



Related to the letter "L" and long:  Llama yarn!  And a granny square scarf inspired by my wist!



Golden: an adorable crocheted shrug that fits perfectly.  Not a good picture of me or the shrug (self portraits when you first wake up aren't a good idea!   ), but I promise that it is super cute and will get a lot of wear!



Under 2"- a crocheted shirt for one of my Blythe dolls.  It's bigger than 2" now because I stretched it a bit to make it fit like a jumper.



Lastly, Sender's choice: Itched glass drinking glasses!  Also inspired by my wist.  There are two of these- they each have a ball of yarn and two knitting needles.  It was really hard to capture the detail on the glass, but they are wonderful.



Thank you so much, Sarah!  I really do love everything.  Now the pressure is on to make a package that you will love!

That handspun is gorgeous! So is the shrug...I love the color choices with both. Great packages so far!
