Yay, I'm so glad all the stuff made it and you like it Sorry abut the scrabble tile pendant... The quilt was my very first mini art quilt, I wasn't really sure how to finish the back, so I hope it's alright. It's the front that counts, right?

I'm seriously loving the gallery! That peacock embroidery is sooo good and I also really like that bird embroidery on the shirt

I received my package from sarah this morning... and it's really nice. here's the group shot of a cool painted birdhouse (which will go right out in my backyard) a piece of birdy paper and owl cutout for future crafting, a painted bird art thing with real feathers -- and a very nice piece of B&W birdy fabric (that I hope to use to redo a chair seat, when I paint said chair black) also 2 bags of Detroit style potato chips that were grabbed by my son for his future use...

WOOHOOO! My package came!
Actually, it came yesterday but I wasn't in to sign for it, so I had to wait an extra day.

I was totally SPOILED by Lady Pistola. Totally.

I received:



Which is handpainted, 16 x 20, ready to hang canvas. Super sweet. Some of the detail is lost in the photo - there's more pattern in tone-on-tone in the background which doesn't show up. Sorry Lady P, tricky to photograph.

Then there was all this:



A silhouette triptych ready for hanging, mini notecards and envelopes (upper left), matchbook style notebook, bird silhouette* and mini owl, who is so cute, he got his own picture:



Owlie came with a note: he is a lucky owl from Japan, and he "will bring you strength in the artistic sense". And bring smiles.

Now, I have to decide where exactly the big canvas will be hung - it's destined for my bedroom, but just where, I'm not sure of yet.

So happy! But also a little anxious - how come my package hasn't arrived yet? DARN you canada post.

*silhouette will be placed on my front window shortly, we have on or two bird fatalities a year on that big, reflective front window. But no more.

I love those cards! They are so beautiful!  I keep thinking I should start making my own cards, but then I think: no new crafts!    There's not space in my apartment!
