so i am new to felting, but very much in love with it. ive been researching the various supplies/techniques and would like to know the difference between star and triangle needles. since the star has more sides, is it for more detailed work?

Honestly, I have no idea what the difference is. I know I have both of them in my kit, but I'm not usually a 100% needle felter, and I don't notice much of a difference.

Technically speaking, the star needle has more sides and more barbs, so you would think that it would make felting all that little bit quicker!

I use a size 42 needle with barbs all clustered at the end of the needle for detail work.
