OK, I am having such a hard time on the questionnaire!!  I know what a small/med would be for crocheting, but would it be the same for knitting?  I always think knitting would take so much longer cuz for one row, you really do 2 right?  Would socks/legwarmers/mittens be med or large?  I think in crochet they would be med???  I dunno, gonna go search ravelry for some ideas for my questionnaire!! Grin
It can go by time and money spent too dont forget. So a speedy knitter might think that the large item you have chosen is really a small. Or maybe theyd modify what you wanted slightly by using a bigger yarn. Im a crocheter and have done that before  Wink
Im going to suggest that you put down what ever you want, your partner might not even make anything off the list, they might find something awesome in your wists that is much more in their comfort level  Cheesy

Is it possible that the dual skilled people could let the organiser know they do both and then she can assign them to where ever they are needed? Kind of like if there are more knitters then a dual crafter could go crochet vise-versa? (sp)
That might make things a wee bit easier on everyone?

I'm totally in!  I've made my decision!  The only problem I'm having through....  is that the things I want to be knitted for me are huge...   Undecided  At least I think they are.  I may have to search through Ravelry as well and consider some smaller things.  I'll be sending in my questionnaire later this evening!   Cheesy

Lol, I have the same problem!  I'm hoping there's at least one kind knitter out there willing to do a bigger project.

Ditto!  But I sent in my questionnaire with my bigger things on it.  And I just spent some time adding lots of stuff to my wist for my partner!   Cheesy

I'm thinking about joining since I won't be busy with classes this summer, but I will hold off till I know for sure more knitters are joining since I am a crocheter!

Huh  Yeah...I was kinda wondering the same thing...where ARE all the knitters?  Perhaps we should advertise this swap in our signatures or something, with a tag attached-"Knitters needed!"  (Ya just never know, it might just work!)

I wonder if it would be considered appropriate to post something on one of the knitting boards?

Maybe we could cap at 10 crocheters until more knitters sign up?

I agree but we also have to keep in mind that we have a while before sign-ups close too.

Sinellia - I'm MUCH more comfortable crocheting but I can knit and if you need me to I'll switch.  I just don't promise anything amazingly intricate.  No socks or sweaters or anything...    Wink
