That's what happens when I grab an energy drink. Caffeine and crafting don't mix! Well, at least not for me. Also, caffeine and posting don't mix very well either, I guess...

Ah! That is beautiful!
I'm so nervous! I just got some resin type glue called Gel du Soleil, but of course when I went to look at the hallowed out charms... DAYUM are they expensive... So i'll have to work with what I got for now.. Hopefully that package of gears will be here soon!

Now that I've started I'm understanding all the size problems Sad
A piece of my first charm is about 1 1/2in. long... but I went out to find exactly what I found that the swapper said she liked! Ehh.

Krafty, that is absolutely amazing!! I love it! Great job!!

I'm getting really anxious because I have bottle caps and i'm getting resin tomorrow, but I've never worked with it and I'm a bit nervous about screwing it up.

I haven't had much time to work on my charms the last few days but things are slowing down for now (but they're about to pick up again) so I'm going to try to get as much done in the next two days as possible, and depending on how happy I am with the results, possibly send by the end of this weekend? Hopefully, but it might not happen that quickly. Things never seem to go as I plan haha.

I'm really liking your charm, very unique hgddm! And we're always learning something new... I would never have thought they wouldn't work.

Half of my charms are resin bottle caps.  I had only done resin once before, and the trial hadn't gone especially well, but it did teach me a few things, so I felt a bit more confident this time.  I did make a TON of them (a few of each of many many designs), so that I'd have plenty to chose from in case some didn't come out.  Used an entire 8 oz. package of Easy Cast and it made about 55-60 bottle caps.  I highly recommend this blog, which I found very helpful:  Skinner Studio; How to Make Resin Jewelry  There are like 5 or 6 pages of information, step by step.  She doesn't do bottle caps, but the information is still invaluable.  Oddly enough, while I planned my charms with my partners in mind, I ended up falling in love with one I made for one of my "side swappers" more than all the others.  It's a good thing I love you Krafty_Karasu, or I might not be able to part with it!

Decided to move these pics here instead of the gallery.

I'm posting some things I made while working on all this stuff.  It's not like the stuff I sent out, so I hope it's ok here.  But they would not have been made if it was not for this charm swap so...

This is the one I made for myself to keep.

I had to keep the eye becasue it was a relatives watch.

sorry I could not get a better pic.  But this thing will not sit still!
