hi!

Just posting to say 'hi!' I just squeaked in the sign ups!

and I'm a Glocky Blue Bottle. For a second there I was confused, especially when I got my PM as I'm also in the OTT Pirate swap at the moment, and it sounds kind of pirate-y.

I hope to start crafting soon, but I also need to shop first, not that I need an excuse!

I actually had a bag of watches from a yard sale that I busted open (I mean that literally...with a hammer ) Smiley
Nice! Love it!

Pleasure to meet the other Nibbed Mobsters!! Not quite sure yet what "nibbed" is actually referring too. I know that's the writing part of an ink pen, and the only connection I make is then a mobster that is 'marked'.

I've got my sheet of partners printed and colour coded (I went a little over the top I think) and ready to go. YAY
Hello fellow Nibbed Mobsters, glad we aren't Glocky Mutchers, at least. LOL, love this old British slang.

Hooray for partners!
Off to plan!

Something so comforting about loggin in and seeing chat in the swap I'm involved in...as a newb..will I disappointed in the lack of chat in other swaps..or is this normal?

I think with all the crafting I did in the weeks before, that I'm nearly done.  One person, I'm having some blind spot with for some reason.....just means I'm not looking in the right spot is all....DO peeps mail them off as done? Or do I wait till I have them all done? I kinda want to get a pic all together..I guess..now that I'm thinking about it..Part of the reason I joined this site is I was hoping it would make taking pics easier for me..so far it is working...but I still am no good at taking BEFOREs.

And thanks for saveing us Ralph.....we have been chomping at the bit for a week Grin

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

Ahk! So I discovered the most AMAZING little shop that is a two minute walk away from my house, that has been there for two years and that i've probably have walked past more then 50 times but SOMEHOW never noticed! My squealing just seemed to grow and grow as I ventured deeper and deeper into the store!

They had SO MUCH I can use for this swap!
I got tiny key's and some small watch faces and a BUNDLE of vintage game spinners and tiny viles (I love little viles!) & resin glues! Well.. they were out but I'll be back sometime this week when there in stock :3 They didn't have any gears:( but still so so much! So excited now.

I don't have any cool little stores like that around me.  there is this one in Chicago that I go to maybe once a year, but I won't get there before this swap is over.  Sad  so come on Fire Mountain!!!

VERY jealous ladylovecraft!  I really should check out the like 12 thrift/junk/consignment stores in the 2 blocks surrounding me, but I'm trying so far to use stuff from my stash.  I did have to go buy a supply today, but it was an item necessary to HELP me de-stash.  (Also, my desk is currently covered in charm bits!)

Haha yep! I was on my way to the thrift store and by some unknown force, I found myself walking into it. It looked like a gift card, paper shop from the outside, but little did I know they had everything I've been looking for! The thrift store was no help though:( Other then loading up on more vhs's to fill my collection..

Happy June first!!! Whoo-hoo. partners!  I'm excited now to get 'charming'!  I have been looking at all this stuff on my table, re-arranging and matching pieces together.  This week I hope to get some charms put together.....I love the process almost as much as the end result   Smiley
