Hey, I just checked my profile and this swap isn't showing up there... just letting you know!

Yes, thank you. I've had a crazy busy weekend. There are quite a few people who sent in questionaires while I was at the Ren Faire today. I plan to update the first post in the thread with their info and all of your profiles with the swap tomorrow while I'm at work. Right now I'm zonked, so I'm thinking bedtime.

I'm really nervous and hesitant about this swap, but I think I'll most likely sign up!
A quick general question though

Does anyone have any idea how to open pocket watches? !

I don't know if I said this already, but some backs twist off... or just get a flathead screwdriver (or something similar) and pry it open. Also, I found that if you unscrew a few of the screws towards the outside (you'll see them once you get the back off) and break off the winding knob on top you can get out the whole inside really easily. It makes it much easier to take apart with the smallest screwdriver you can find. I ruined a few cheesy ones, but I did find a nice one in a glasses repair kit that worked great!

Thanks! I looked up how to do it but for some reason I can't get it opend! I tried using tweezers but haven't tried a skrewdriver yet. I'll check it out. I'm somewhat tempted to just break the glass opend, but I'm not sure if that would do me anygood...

Breaking the glass won't help... you have to get at it from the back! Just pry the thing open, it takes a lot of brute force sometimes...

This swap sounds like so much fun! I can't wait to get started! I am a bit nervous since this will be my first swap, and my first attempt at anything steam punk.  
I'm off to find spare parts and such to get started with!
