I had a friend make me one last year. Mine is made of dried corn that she got from her garden. It works WONDERFULY. My kitten loves laying with it as well... just have to make sure not to make it too hot for her.

I just made my first one of these! I used Minute rice and it smells... rice-y. I forgot that I had some lavender oil for this project. It's retaining heat quite nicely though. I only just learned how to sew, so the lines aren't very straight, but I'll get lots of practice... I'm going to make ten of these as Christmas gifts this year!!! (This lumpy one will be mine because I don't care how it looks... it's keeping my toes warm!)
