Hi guys,
I'm making a baby quilt for a friend of mine who is due in June - the top is flannel and the bottom is going to be minky.  My question is - should I still use batting or will that be too heavy/warm with the other fabrics?  Thanks!

I just finished and gave two similar quilts to friends with new babies- both moms LOVE the blankets and use them for nap time, walks, and general playing. The finished thickness is not very thick at all.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!
