I made these felted nesting bowls for my partner in a recent swap. She just received so I'm excited to share them with you Smiley.

I've been knitting for ages but I've never actually tried felting. The thought of spending so much time and energy knitting something just to throw it in the wash to be "agitated" was more than I could bear. But now that I've tried it I realize the process and end result is really fun!

These were made with double-stranded cascade 220. I used a pattern from AllThingsKnitted Etsy shop but it doesn't look to be available anymore...http://www.etsy.com/shop/AllThingsKnitted

Here are some in-progress shots...

Pre-agitation

Post-agitation, sitting on their makeshift molds. It took 3+ days for the bowls to dry completely.

Thank you for looking and please do share any felting tips you have!!

Wow these are gorgeous - I am the same as you been a knitter for years but felting just seems so harsh to me - but you have swayed my opinion! Off to read up on felting now!

Gorgeous!
