I will be sewing/quilting mine. 2 -3 sounds good - and 3/4 weeks craft time would be awesome.  Happy to receive the knitted/crochet ones Cheesy

Are we swapping just one partner or in groups?

I can either crochet or quilt and would love to receive any - I really need potholders! I think 2-3 is good and my preference is 4 weeks of crafting (or at least send outs on a Mon or Tue rather than a Thurs or Fri so I have the weekend. I'm a weekend crafter). Wow, I didn't realize we would be doing it so soon! How long were you thinking for signups?

All my current potholders are knitted, and I haven't burned myself yet.  Smiley  They are looking a bit tired though!  I got them from my MIL, so gawd only knows how old they actually are.  Cheesy

Are we swapping just one partner or in groups?

I was thinking partners on this.  I've been doing a lot of "groups" swaps lately, and thought partners would be nice.  I'd like to be able to focus solely on ONE person, and put all my energy into making them something amazing...

Oooooo....New potholders make my heart pitter-patter.  I would be in; I always seem to need new potholders.

Random question for you knitters/crocheters....  How sturdy are yarn based potholders?  Are they really thick enough to withstand that much heat from the oven?  I'm not judging... Just curious.
Yarn-based potholders are quite sturdy and withstand heat.  I would suggest only thick yarn potholders (doubled up, felted, or multi-layered) for pulling items out of the oven.  And please make sure to note that acrylic potholders are not advisable since they MELT with heat.  I use cotton or wool when making potholders.

Here are a few knitted & crocheted potholders on Ravelry if you would like to peek. Grin
