I'm pretty new to any type of quilting - I've only ever done small wall pieces. This is one I did for the Crafty Detective Swap. One thing I learned doing this small quilt is how difficult it can be to match seams when working with multiple squares. Do you sew them together into a bunch of 4-squares or sew one full long row together then sew that to another long row? I think the answer is NOT sewing long rows together  Lips sealed Live and Learn, then (in my case) go back to paper piecing!

The results are great! It looks like it would make an excellent front to a cushion.

Looks cool!!  Grin

But actually I'm working on a pixel quilt too, I just finished the top recently and getting ready to pin and quilt it, but I sewed row by row and it worked out great for me.   Why didn't you like it?
Ohh and mine is gonna be like twin/full size

I've had that problem too matching all those squares up.  Now whenever I do a quilt like that I mark all the squares in the exact dimension the block is supposed to be.  if the final block is supposed to be 3.5 inches I use a ruler and then mark where the quarter inch seam should be with a little dot.  I do this on all four corners (which I know is a time consuming pain in the rear) but worth it when the squares come out really nicely.
