"Bring It" Owl multi-level-stencil Shirt! Swap item!

Hey hey! I wanted to take my bleach stenciling to the next level for my swap partner, this is the first time I've tried a multi-pass! It was interesting to try to wrap my brain around it at first, but now I'm looking forward to trying this technique again!



I started off with a cool design, (I did NOT design the owl, haha, my skills lie mainly in execution, not design, sadly) and set it up in illustrator, in layers, with transparencies stacked up to help me visualize.

Then came the vector cutting on my digital cutter (oh how I depend on that dear thing) and some more visualization to make sure I was doing it right, before the setup on the shirt, masking, and actual passes of airbrushed bleach began. This is the most complicated stencil to date that I've done! Lots of little bits to keep track of, lol!

So basically, I put some stencils on the shirt, airbrushed bleach, Let dry. Repeat 4 times with slightly different stencil layers. whew!

that is awesome.. i love bleach stencil work...and that owl is gorgeous!! but tell me.. from someone who cuts everything out with an execto knife.. what is a vector cutting on a digital cutter? ive heard a few people mentioning this and i think i am missing out on something here!!!

 I clicked the THIS ROCKS~~ I love the lil sweet greyhound and your partner is one of the sweetest gals I have ever met!! We so would get into trouble living closer but she will sure be sporting 2 awesome tees!! YOU TOOK ME TO A NEW PLACE IN STENCILING now must get the cricut out and pull some images and see if I can rock it like you did!!

IMO you should get the project of the year!! this is the BEST by far hand stenciled tee I have seen!!

This is wonderful, Great job, love all the detail- I was thinking your cutting skills were awesome and have been interested in a digital cutter to do my own original designs , what digital cutter do you have ?

This is awesome.  I once tried something like this (multi-layered bleach thingy) but I was impatient and ruined it. lol
