Hopefully this isn't inappropriate for More Art, Less Craft but I saw this in town today and HAD to take pictures (my lens has a scratch & will cost £130 to fix so sorry about the smudge).

Ok...little explanation...I took this photo outside the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow, Scotland..if this isn't modern art then what is?!? Cheesy  I didn't "Kiss" the statue but did automatically text everyone I knew to tell them and we think whoever did it is now a legend!

I feel I should also explain the traffic cone on his head...it's just kind of something that's done in Glasgow (don't know about other places), it's not disrespectful or anything (I don't think Mr Stanley would be offended) and it's a bit of a term of endearment.  It's REALLY common place in Glasgow, you can buy t-shirts and dish towels with statues with cones on their head on it (and it's mostly this guy too...without the wig and mask).  Basically to us...the cone is normal the rest is amazing.

Sorry if this can't go here I just had to share.

Cx

Grin I, for one, am all for traffic cone art! I love this! More traffic cone art, please! (I have a beautiful one to share) There is a traffic cone group on Facebook that would love it if you shared this image with them. Smiley

I never really heard of proper cone art before. Where I live, they mostly get stolen by stoners and stuffed into someone's closet. Your way is better. And the KISS thing is genius..
