This is a portion of the stitch and is part of the slide show close-ups.

Catherine de Medici, the medieval Queen of France, popularized the wearing of gloves. However, it was the Empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte that started a nationwide craze for long gloves that spread throughout all of Europe and and America.

These glove work up fast! I used 2 ounces of  Bernat super Value in the color Soft Forest Green and an I/5.5mm hook. As with all the patterns I post here, it is free for your personal enjoyment.
There is also a slide show with the step-by-steps to help you in your ease of construction.

Free pattern is here:

If you want to look at the free slide show go here:

Have fun!

Thanks for posting the pattern. These are great. I'll have to do this project soon.

I think I would like to make these in a dark purple or black. The stitch looks really interesting.

If you make the gloves, I would love to see how they turned out.
