When I heard about this challenge, I knew that I wanted to combine my love for crochet, cross stitch, and anything skull and skeleton related into one crazy project. I had this cowl in mind but I think that adding the cross stitch really pulled everything together!

Total Length:

Me Wearing My New Cowl in 90 Degree Weather:  Tongue

I used the following fibers and add-ins to spin the yarn for my cowl - merino, soy, fleece, bamboo, carbonized bamboo, milk silk, angelina, firestar, wool nubs, silk cocoons, fake spider webs, lace, ribbon, an old ripped stocking, gray variegated thread, sparkly thread, glass beads, plastic skull beads, pewter charms, sequins, seed beads, chain, and a plastic dangly skeleton.

Final Yarn:

Cross Stitch:

I am so pleased with it! Now to wait for about 5 months in order to wear it.  Roll Eyes Hope you guys like it!

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

Super slick.  It's amazing how many kinds of fibers and chachkys you used. Nice job Grin

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

I haven't cross stitched in ages (about 20 years, since I was a teen)  I might have to give it a go. Your skully inspired me Thanks! Grin
