So, for my exam for this 10 week costume design course I took I had to make a costume based on the tea-party scene from Alice in Wonderland, Not a big deal for a wonderland fan.

I already had a steampunky design in my head that I wanted to make so I shoved the two together and made this. Basically it was a 2 week full time.

I made everything except the shoes. Handpainted the lace on the hat, made the hat itself, made a shirt, skirt, leather top, bloomers vest and the jewelry. I also did a make-up design that I painted on myself. I didn't use any patterns, cause well; I basically fail at using them.

Cute! I like the jabot (?) on the blouse. I always forget about essentials...like blouses, such is my jacket obsession. Thanks for showing how they help complete the ensemble (very nice all around!).
