Hello my fellow crafsters!
Its been a while since I posted something, I've been working on my thesis and all that.. but now that I'm done..and currently unemployed.. I have all the time in the world for sewing...

so, I made this tote bag, it's supposed to be exited or sarcastic...but the suspension marks came out too big..(I really dont know its that the proper term in english, they're just three consecutive points..and I used them A LOT)

exclamation point in the front...

the back with "suspension marks"

inside... all my stuff and a zippered pocket!!! yay!!   Grin

and this one was inspired by this bag I found on etsy...
http://www.etsy.com/listing/46141396/new-qt-canvas-tote-in-deep-pink?ref=cat2_gallery_16

I loved it.. but I'm in no position to pay 42.00 and ship it all the way from Malaysia... so I made one myself..but dont get me wrong, it's totally worth it... my goodness was that bow a pain!

it's made of cream canvas I bought on sale.. It came out a little bit bigger than I expect it but I'm happy with it.. you can never have too many large bags!  Wink

inside: ramdon books, this pocket came to be a little crooked.. but its all good Smiley...

for the inside pocket I used this wonderfull tut...
http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandblog/2007/02/zippered_inner_.html

and for the straps a used this AWESOME no "turning the strap" tut
http://www.warehousefabricsinc.com/blog/how-to-make-a-non-turn-strap/

I'm debating whether to do the topstick on the cream one ... what do you guys think?..should I..?.. shouldn't  I?

Great bags!  I really like the cream one.  The bow is a wonderful touch.  I like topstitching around the top of the bag, as it gives a finished look and reinforces the straps.

sewfumust, after what you said that it would reinforce the straps I was conviced I had to do it.. as in they were a little short and the seam allowance wasnt that much :S... thanx for the insight, I didnt think so myself...was so eager to finish it probably..

and thanks Juaniece Smiley, its nice to have time for sewing again Smiley

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
