what type of fabric did you use in these?  Is there a particular kind that you use to embroider with or can it be any fabric?  just wondering, your art is so awesome, Id love to try it but, im basically a beginner at embroidery, I dont know how to do it correctly.

The base fabric is a linen type that I found a whole roll of in a thrift store, though you could use anything as the background fabric as long as its sturdy and will hold up to being embroidered upon. I still have a long way to go in embroidery techniques; the most common ones I use are backstitch, running stitch, and french knots, very basic and very easy to get down  Wink

They're all great! I like the spiderweb, and also how the leaves in the first one overlap the hoop a little. Well done!

Amazing. I've loved all your felt and embroidery pieces, and you just seem to get better and better. I adore the spider one and the girl floating away in particular, but I'd proudly hang any or all on my walls. You rock!
