Errk.  Sewing thread - I can just imagine the tangles and trying to see what stitch is where.  Sounds like torture.  Although I'd guess someone with enough patience (and good enough eyesight) could crochet something awesome with sewing thread.  I interpreted that category to mean crochet thread.

I remember reading somewhere once about a knitter who knit a sweater using something like 13 strands of sewing thread held together, switching out colours one at a time to create gradual colour changes... sounds neat

Hrm... I think crochet thread was meant, but sewing thread sounds similar enough (if a bit insane) to be included in that category. 

Anyone else have thoughts on this?
lol, there is no way I could do that. But I say, if anyone else wants to use sewing thread, they should be allowed just for sure patience!
