I finished the runner in Dec 2008 but procrastinated in posting it.  This is a Table Runner I created for my Cousin and also my first big embroidery project.  The idea was all my own.  Originally it was going to do a tree skirt but my Cousin already had one so I opted for a table runner.  Luckily Charles Schultz's drawings tend to be a little wiggly and wavy which I think lends itself well to embroidery.

The runner is about 70 inches long and a foot tall.  I used coloring book pages as my pattern.  I scanned them into my computer. Used the computer to scale them to the size I needed and arranged them into the final design. Then I printed them out and traced them onto the runner with a light box and blue transfer pencil.

At the time I was working two jobs at about 70 hours a week so it took me a while to finish it.  I started in August and had several days where I never touched it at all and then finished it right before Christmas.

I was really worried about Pigpen because I was afraid he was going to look like a giant blob of thread, so I practiced him before I put him on the actual runner. I only used one strand for his dirt marks to prevent this from happening.

I think if I didn't run out of time to make the "Christmas Gift Deadline" I would have added a border or something. But overall I'm really happy with the results.

Hope that you enjoy seeing it, and I highly recommend you try a Peanuts embroidery project of your own.

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments!
