I'm thinking I might have to sign up to this one.... Smiley
The bit of England where I'm from is mainly, I think, famous for white socks and stillettos... not sure how well that would work as a craft theme! Huh Hmmm....

haha that made me laugh well i'm from near Liverpool i could always nick a few tyres off a car and make the rubber into a bag or something lol

thinking about this. I also live in Herts (pinkmich and I have swapped before - we are opposite ends of the county). It is a funny old county - not very interesting when you live here - but I suppose if you dig around enough you can find plenty of history - Tudors with Hatfield House, Romans in St Albans - and I live in a saxon village!
Not sure about local food though - could dig around at the farmers market for inspiration - there is a very yummy local goats cheese (Childwickbury) - not sure if it would travel though.

forgot to say that I live down the road form George Bernard Shaw's house - so if that rocks your boat, put something in your questionnaire.

Hmmm... ponders. I haven't done a swap in ages (a 4 month unpaid exile in Australia had a lot to do with that), this could be good for getting back into it.

Only problem is, I live in London, which seems like such a cliche that anything I craft would be a bit naff. That said, I live in the Docklands, so perhaps I can rustle up some smuggling history or something like that. Shall ponder some more!

I'm going to the next cheeserolling, I've decided. We have friends in Gloucestershire, so will combine it with a visit Smiley

wee hee I'm in!

From our parts we've got Freesias, Guernsey Lilies, Guernseys (jumpers), Beanjar and gache for the food ... and crabs, though I'm not really planning to send one of those Cheesy. We also have flower festival (decorating huge chariots, ponies or bicycle) German occupation in WW2 and Guernsey French (not many people speak it anymore) The "official" name of a Guernsey person is a Donkey (as opposed to crapaud - toad- for the people of Jersey, call it friendly competiton Tongue)

Oh and I forgot Guernsey cows that make a world famous milk (No I'm not sending one of these either Wink)

i used to live in Mile End and my sister lived in Manchester Road, Canary Wharf...i love it there! whereabouts in the docklands do you live? my favourite part of the area is the history - jack the ripper, immigration, bow bells, the blitz...but i get what you mean, everytime i told someone where i lived they thought of jellied eels and eastenders. smashing Wink

I think I might need to sign up for this...I just finished my Make a Purse sewing so I could probably squeeze this one it along with the Cupcake one.

Though I do live in Glasgow and I'm not sure what I could craft but the temptation of low postage does sound fantastic.
