I absolutely love this!  I have that exact pattern lying around somewhere (likely buried in a giant tub under fabric and notions  XD), so I know what one of my summer projects will be!  Is it lined?

Yes, it's lined. But the pattern called for a flat felled seam on the outside. I decided not to do this and instead put the seams on the inside folded the allowance flat towards the back of the corset, then stitched a parallel line beside the original seam (over the folded allowance) about a 1/2" from the original seam to use as the boning channel.

So unfortunately it looks like crap on the inside, lining or not. I might tweak the pattern a bit by giving more seam allowance so I can fold over the raw edges before stitching the parallel lines for the boning channels...

At first I was a little sad to see a Witchblade destroyed, but after seeing the results it was very worth it!

OMG this is AWESOME!! I would seriously go out and buy extra copies of my favorite comics to make one, just so I don't ruin the good copies that I have signed and sealed away.

Exactly!! I buy all my comics from a store called BMV (Books Music Video) and they generally don't cost more than $2 each. Since I just tear them up anyway, it doesn't really matter which issue I get and use, just as long as the images look cool.

Although.... I've gotten a heartbroken look from many a comic collector when I etll them that I rip up their prized pages.  Tongue

That is amazing! I love it.  I am having a whole 5 days off school soon and plan to use a bunch of it for sewing, perhaps it is time to finally make my girl a corset.
