The Lil Hippies are taking over!

I can't believe I never thought to make these before!  Now I don't have to buy those stupid cotton pad things that take up my whole trash can, and fall apart whenever I scrub my face too vigorously.  I made a 7 piece set, since I, like many people, do laundry once a week.

I'd love to know how you like them! I pulled out cotton tonight with the intention of making some of these. I haven't got to talk to anyone who actually uses them, though. Yours look great, I'm still debating single crochet or double, hmm.

I've made both, and find that single crochet tends to hold up better, and hold soaps and cleansers better.  The only complaint I have is losing track of them in the wash!  I really need to make a little bag for them.

Oh very neat. If anyone would do a mini tut b/c I only know very basic crochet, that would be great.

I'm at work now, and will be for the rest of the daylight hours today.  Tomorrow, I'll work up a photo-tutorial, or maybe a video tutorial if I'm feeling photogenic.  I'll have it on my site tomorrow afternoon.

Brilliant AND eco-friendly!  Isn't it great when homemade stuff beats the pants off of store-bought?

What a great project!

Her skin is white cloth,
and she's all sewn apart
and she has many colored pins
sticking out of her heart.

a curse she cannot win.
For if someone gets
too close to her,
the pins stick farther in.
