I made a new cover for my Ikea Klippan footstool (the original was boring black) and it was suprisingly easy.

I kept thinking I was going to make a stupid mistake and realise I'd been kidding myself by thinking it would only take a morning to finish - but I didn't!! Hurrah!

Made from two old curtains and some left over Liberty print linen that my Mum used to re-upholster a sofa back in the 70s - I love hand-me-downs  Smiley

I didn't do anything fancy to the corners so they look a little messy but the fabric is stretched enough so that it's not too noticeable (I think!).

Oh my gosh, I am in love with that print. As for the corners, I honestly didn't notice until you pointed it out, so I think it'll be fine. Smiley

That really is cool fabric. And you're right about the corners not showing.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
