I received a TON of stuff from bobbiemay a few days ago!  The crappy cell phone picture does not at all do it justice!  There's a ton of fabrics, two different project books, zippers, ribbon, and a whole lot of other useful things!  I love it all and hope I can put it to good use.  Thank you so much bobbiemay!!  Cheesy  I hope your thank you gets there soon!

When I see all the amazing things, I keep wondering what is left at home Cheesy...sadly, for me, it did not even feel like I put a dent in my stash...guess we have to do another swap after this! Cheesy

You got books?  lucky lucky! I can read the Toy Book--what is the second one?  My eyes went right to the books... love it!

for the mobile i used a tute from the book "sew it up" by ruth singer,

and it is an embroidery hoop! you wrap ever increasing circles of fabrics into little blossoms and put a few mini stitches in to hold the shape, then you measure an equal distance on the lengths of thread to make the danglies and attatch to the hoop...

time consumiing but very cute!

also, quaggy-     *_* wowzer!

Okay here is the fabulous collection of goodies that dreadlocklove sent me!  I have been absolutely spoiled, and I intend to use the goodies to spoil my friends and family. Cheesy

The whole lot: (books in the back, lots and lots of awesome patterns for bags, kids clothes and woman's clothes - WOOOT!), velcro, bindings, zippers of all sizes and colors, and some absolutely gorgeous fabric!  I am so excited by the patterns and the pink and green and grey fabric is SO SOFT.  The grey fabric may end up being made into pillows for my grey and white bedroom. Cheesy  The pink, I think, will end up being a dress for my niece, using one of the patterns, and the flowered fabric will totally be a purse from one of the bag patterns!  There are also two packs of twin needles and some really cute labels that say 'From your favorite aunt' - totally going to put this in the dress for my almost-niece. Cheesy

Closeup of the fabrics (somehow the grey fabric ended up being left out of the picture, but it's AWESOME):

Closeup of the books (total SQUEE about them - soooo many awesome ideas!)

Thank you, dreadlocklove!  I hope my thank you gift gets there soon, though I don't know if it even compares to the fabulousness that you sent me!

THANK YOU, DREADLOCKLOVE!!!!

If you use the flat rate box for sending in the US, then you can stuff it with all the books you can manage!  Those appear to just be leaflets or soft cover, thinner books, and that Quick stuff to Sew is a magazine, cuz I have the same one Smiley  I have a banker's box FULL of patterns, I would have a hard time finding space to put all those!  Great stuff, what a haul Smiley

You're so welcome Kaz!  I'm glad I could help you out!

I actually thought the shipping would be a lot higher.  From Canada to the US, in a fairly big box, and the knitting book is fairly thick and heavy (272 pages), but it only cost a bit over $20.  Had I known, I probably would have sent more in a bigger box...  There is so much more of my hobby stashes that need to be filtered through.

I can't wait to receive my package!  I've had such a lousy week and I'm sure it will really cheer me up!

What a great group of patterns!  ha ha How fast you already decided what to do with all of the fabrics!!

Can't wait to see your finished projects!

Sometimes it is cheaper to send book off by themselves via media mail...I always check the usps site for price comparisons...
