I just completed a prayer shawl for a friend.  Her husband just died last week.  It's my fabric hug.  It is mostly this pattern from lion brand, but I had issues with the edging so I improvised. I used lion brand Pound of love and a J hook. http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70348AD.html?noImages=

Any commentary is appreciated.

You did an excellent job on this. I really like the idea behind it as well. I know I would have adored one of these when I was going through rough times.
