My partner Jungrrl, received my package for the Lost swap so now I can post this over here  Grin
One of her favorite characters is Charlie so I thought it would be nice to honor his moment of heroism with embroidery. I put it in a metal hoop to resemble the porthole and I used all backstitch and some seed stitch.

You should try making one! Once you jump into embroidery, you will not want to stop. Back stitch is probably the easiest to do for a beginner so it would be a good one to start with.

This is amazing, i cried soo much when i watched that episode.
I cried like a baby when I saw it. Even though they gave us more than enough foreshadowing that it would happen eventually, it was still soo sad.

This is great! I'll have to show it to the husband!

I was so mad when they killed Charlie, he was one of my favorites! My husband and I have been catching up with Lost via netflix and so when our next disk (after the one where Charlie dies) was delayed, my husband decided to watch the old disk (and the dreaded episode) AGAIN. I was none too happy and did NOT want to see Charlie die a SECOND time (although with all of Desmond's viewings of the future I guess it really isn't just the second time we've seen Charlie die . . .) I actually cried the most on the episode before the one where Charlie actually died . . . there was so much building up to the dreaded moment and then Charlie was saying goodbye to everyone, hugging Hugo, leaving the ring for Claire, etc. . . . stupid Lost . . . ;-)

Really wonderful! I love the fact that you chose a more metaphorical portrait of Charlie, and that non-Lost watchers wouldn't necessarily understand. Very nice, indeed!

Thanks for the comments everyone  Wink
Ajmaley, I cried my eyes out on that episode before the death too. He and Claire finally kissed and it was their last on, so freaking sad  Cry When something bad happens, the reactions of the other losties are the most heartbreaking part.

This is too awesome for words. That scene made me sad, but when they repeated it with Desmond and the car in the water, I kind of freaked out a bit.
Great embroidery, I love how you made the the writing look like faded marker lines.
