I had to buy a new planner recently, but the plain blue cover was just too boring.  What do you think?

Punching all those holes was a bit of a pain, but I like the end effect!  It was a bit difficult using more complicated stitches, but I think the buttonhole stitch adds a nice dimension

That's gorgeous, and such a great idea! I often find myself conflicted between buying the pretty but badly designed planner or the useful but undecorated planner.

It would be nice if someone made ones that were both functional and good looking. Kudos to you for making yours so pretty.

Ooh! I'm in love. The colors are wonderful.

Did you punch the holes before or during the embroidery?

I can't imagine trying to punch holes first while imagining what it will look like...it turned out wonderful!  I love seeing needlework in unexpected places.  Smiley

Very nice, I like the symmetry. I made a cover for a journal out of felt, but never thought to punch holes right in the cover like that!
