This was the second set of blocks my husband and I made for Xmas.  We made these for the little boy of some friends of ours.  His daddy is a huge space fan!

I made the patterns, hubby cut them with our "new" scroll saw, we sanded them, and I painted and wood burned them.  It was a really fun project, and the recipient and his parents love them!

We made a spaceship that any of the aliens can ride in, and "moon rocks"  to go with the set, and a drawstring tote, which they love for keeping toys in when they travel!

Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated!!

Be the change!

awesome job!  those are really cute, and somehow "old-fashioned" at the same time as being "futuristic."  cool.

Wow, these are so cool! My boys are a bit old for them (but I'd probably want them for myself!) I love the detail on the aliens' faces, and the way you've made a really cute little set out of tem with the space ship and the rocks. Great job!

Fantastic! It's the details that make something like this so great. I especially like that all of the aliens can take a ride in the space ship. Maybe some accidental/ bonus lessons in sharing and taking turns?   I might need those lessons  Embarrassed
Very cute set!

Float like a butterfly, stin...ooh a butterfly!

What an awesome idea!  I love homemade toys and this space theme is just great!  Wish I had a scroll saw (and that I wasn't afraid of chopping my fingers off with power saws.)
