A NEW day, a NEW doll... another poppet!

12 days! so long and yet so short! I should still make it on time.

Lindag35, I used the Eleanor pattern only for the body, then I used the original poppet pattern for the rest of the parts. The body is a tad smaller than everything else, but that adds to her charm Smiley

When I stuff the appendages I pop the button out, wrap the shank like I'm making cotton candy, then pop it back in and stuff it in place.  I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I feel like it's being stuffed better...?  I think we all have a bit of perfectionist in us, and it shows when I see the poppets that show up around here!

I'll probably be sending on the last day as always Sad. I only have an hour or 2 every week night because of my job but weekends are free. I've only spent the past 2 nights on her and it was going great until I got too tired last night. I was sewing the head and now the ears make a 90 degree angle so I need to fix that. Also, when I came home from work today I decided to unstuff they awesomely stuffed body to put a popsicle stick in her neck to make it no bend when eh head and hair go on. I'm not finished that and it's almost bed time. Thank goodness I have this whole weekend free (finally) to clean, crochet, and poppet.

On a happy note: I did get the material for clothing and the accessories I needed so it feels like she's much closer to being finished. Though I have no idea how I'm going to her her outfit to look how I picture it, but I'll stress over that when I get to that point.

Thanks for the help everyone!! I made a good torso tonight, but being the backwards idiot I am, will probably need to re-make the clothes. Live and learn...I have my nieces graduation from HS tomorrow and my daughters on Sat...I am stressing big time!!! I would've probably been done by now, but doing stuff ass backwards, and having my lovely fiance home....recovering from spine surgery..finding time to poppet is impossible!! All he does is complain I'm not sitting around doing nothing but watch tv with him. AHHHH!!!

I think I need a sedative....

Checking in. I feel like my progress is going soooo slowly. And the pressure is on for me, since I've already received such a great poppet myself! Also, she told me yesterday that she is not what I thought she was, so I am rethinking her clothing. My plans for tonight: weed the garden and work on poppet clothes. Hair I am hoping to weft soon, but save to do on my trip this weekend. I think I will likely include a couple of outfits as I am indecisive as to what she should wear.

checking in, I guess. Just waiting for Kwiltykate to get home so she can open the package I sent her.
Possibly time to start another doll though, just for the fun of it.

I am taking twice as long since I am making one for my kiddos too.  I also had to take a break to make my son another baby poppet.  He better not loose this one.  I think the babies turn out REALLY cute in fleece by the way.  I want to make more now lol.

Ckchan's poppet is almost done.  It needs to be jointed and dressed, although I might change my mind about the hair...or not.  We'll have to see.
